Beginner adults’ groups from 13 years old and over

Beginner children’s groups from 6 to 12 years old

If you or your child (aged 6+) is a beginner and taking part in our ski or snowboard group lessons we strongly advise you to buy a full resort lift pass as part of the ski school package. You will make a saving even if you do not use the pass on the first day due to the larger discount we can offer on beginner packages.
On the first day of lessons we will usually use one of the free lifts, however from day two most beginners will be making use of the paying lifts. The pass is also valid to use as a pedestrian after lessons – to have lunch at a mountain restaurant, see the view from the glacier, explore the local villages of Venosc and Mont de Lans, or to use the swimming pool and ice rink.

For children under 12 in beginner or Level 1 groups, the lift pass package with lessons can be a great saving for families.

If you are unsure about buying a full lift pass as a beginner you can wait to see how you progress on the first day and then make a decision on buying a five-day pass from day two, although this will cost a little bit more. Snowboard classes do sometimes use paid ski lifts on the first day, so we would recommend beginner snowboarders in group lessons to purchase a six-day lift pass before starting.

Beginner children/ “Little Ones” aged under 5

For children under 5 years old the lift pass is free.
To receive a free lift pass for children under 5 years old, visit the main ticket office in the village with an official document (e.g. passport) stating the age of the children that require the free pass.

Beginner children/ “Little Ones” aged 5

For children that are already 5 years old the lift pass must be purchased at the child price if it is required. We recommend that you wait until your child’s instructor advises you to buy a pass as children at this age are likely to spend the first few days in our Ski Garden or using the free ski lifts.

Private Lessons (adults or children)

If you are only planning a one-off private lesson as a total beginner you will not require a lift pass. We will be able to teach you on the free lifts.
