In the case of cancellation any refunds will be calculated on the following basis:
Cancellation 60 days before arrival = 100% refund
Cancellation from 31 to 59 days before arrival = 75% refund
Cancellation 30 days before arrival = 50 % refund
Cancellation from 16 to 29 days before arrival = 37% refund
Cancellation 15 days before arrival = 25% refund
Cancellation less than 15 days before arrival = 0 % refund

1e. CANCELLATION OF LESSONS BY THE CLIENT IN RESORT

Lessons that are cancelled by the client due to illness, injury, bad weather or other reasons cannot be refunded. In this case, these lessons can be claimed for on most holiday insurance policies with a covering letter provided by the ski school.

 1f. MANAGEMENT OF GROUP LESSONS

It is the ski school’s responsibility to move clients from one group level to another according to progression to ensure the clients have the best learning experience. However, if a beginner (level 0/Adult or Child) is unable to follow the natural progression of the lowest level 0 group  he or she may be asked to supplement with private lessons or a “Top up clinic”. If the client is still unable to progress with the rest of the group an amicable agreement will be made with the ski school as how to progress, however no refunds will be issued.

The European Ski School will do its best to satisfy requests for family and group members to be together in the same groups, however this is not always possible due to technical and numerical reasons.

  1g. PHOTOS & VIDEO

Occasionally, during lessons, an authorised member of staff may take photos or videos of participants (adults and children). Some of these photos and videos may be used on the ski school website and in brochures. In the event that you would like a photo to be removed please send us an email: Dit e-mailadres wordt beveiligd tegen spambots. JavaScript dient ingeschakeld te zijn om het te bekijken.

2. SPECIFIC WINTER CONDITIONS

 2a. PRIVATE LESSONS (WINTER)

Private lessons booked for more than one participant should be for skiers or boarders of a similar level and age. Private lessons of up to 4 people will benefit from lift queue priority.

If  private lessons have been booked for more than one participant of different technical levels the instructor will focus his attention on the weakest participant or the instructor will agree with the clients to divide the allocated time of the lessons between participants at their respective levels.

When private lessons are booked for more than one day we can usually guarantee that all the lessons will be delivered by the same instructor, however if lessons are booked only on a daily basis we will not be able to guarantee you will have the same instructor.

For private lessons commencing at 9:00am clients will be asked to be ready to start at 8:45 am.

Meeting points for private lessons will be coordinated by our office staff when you come to our office before lessons are due to commence. If you are making a last minute private lesson booking and are unable to visit our office, it is your responsibility to contact the ski school to be informed of the correct meeting place.

If you miss the lesson due to arriving late or being at the wrong meeting point you will not be entitled to a refund.

In case of a delayed start due to arriving late you will not be entitled to have extra time after the arranged finish time.

2b. GROUP LESSONS (WINTER)

For group lessons our objective is to form ski groups of a maximum of 9/10 adults or children of similar standards (Our objective is to only have 9 clients per group however in high season we may have to extend the group size to 10 per group if logistically necessary ) and a maximum of 6 for snowboard groups. Children over 10 years of age may be placed in an adult group of a similar standard and children must be four years of age and over to join children’s lessons, unless otherwise agreed with the ski school. We do our best to divide children into groups of similar ages, however this is not always possible .

On Sundays, group ski lessons meet at 10:30am ready for an 11:00am start. If you arrive after 11:00am at the meeting point you may not be able to participate in the first day of lessons. This is due to the difficulty of reaching the instructor and organising for you to meet the group on the mountain without disrupting the lesson for those who arrived on time. If you miss the lesson due to arriving late you will not be entitled to a refund but you will be able to join the lesson from the second day (apart from in high season weeks). In the event of a Monday start for beginner skiers or boarders it is necessary to book a private lesson (minimum 1 hour, but 2 hours are recommended) prior to joining the group lesson so you are at the same level as others in the group. Please inform the ski school in case of a Monday start.

For all snowboard group lessons we ask you to be at the meeting point 15 minutes before your lesson is due to commence.

2c. MINIMUM NUMBERS TO RUN GROUP LESSONS

If the ski school does not reach a minimum of five clients per level in a ski group, lessons will be exchanged for two hourly sessions daily for the same amount of days in groups of maximum four with the benefit of lift queue priority. Clients in ski or snowboard groups of less than four clients per level will receive private lessons (Times schedules according to availability) in exchange for the equivalent amount of money.

We do our best to divide children into groups of similar ages, however this is not always possible in low season.

2d. CANCELLATION OF LESSONS BY  THE SKI SCHOOL (WINTER)

In the event that total lift closure or any other circumstance beyond our control causes the European ski and snowboard school to cancel private ski or snowboard lessons, guest will be offered alternative private lessons to recuperate any hours lost for the equivalent amount on alternative days or time slots according to European ski school availability. If clients are unable to reschedule lessons proposed by the European ski school because they have alternative plans or are no longer in the resort, lessons will be reimbursed to the full amount (100%), however all guest should be reminded this alternative solution is only in the event of total and not partial lift closure.

In the event that total lift closure or under any other circumstances beyond our control causes the European Ski and Snowboard School to cancel one or more days of group ski or snowboard lessons, every effort will be made to recuperate any time lost, however no refund for group ski or snowboard lessons will be issued.
In the event of total lift closure for more than 5 consecutive days of any ski or snowboard group lessons a full refund (100%) will be issued. All guests should be reminded this alternative solution is only in the event of total and not partial lift closure.
